God’s Way Works
Recently, I’ve been attempting to draft a mission statement for Learning Ladyhood. In the process, I was listening to a podcast, in which the question was asked,
“What is the message you feel compelled to share with the world?”
As I thought about that question and scrolled through my memory, I suddenly realized that everything I have written about on my blog, all the devotional material I have written, the fictional stories I have been working on, all of it is centered around this one truth: that God’s way works.
Whether it’s God’s way for contented and focused single ladyhood, or God’s way for home and family life, or God’s way for marriage or for salvation and spiritual growth, or for dealing with emotions, or for processing and responding to current events: no matter what our lives look like at this moment, God has designed us each to live in a certain way, —and it works! Whatever I end up writing on, it eventually all points back to that one very basic reality.
If you asked me when or how I first got a burden for this truth, I don’t know that I could tell you. There wasn’t a specific moment or event that planted it, but somehow, it has slowly but surely become the goal of my life to show others that God’s way works.
So, the mission of Learning Ladyhood, whether through the blog or books, is:
Encouraging Christian women to apply God’s Word to their lives, so that they can find out for themselves that God’s way works.
So how do you find out what God’s way is? Saturate yourself in Scripture. Spend time with God and ask Him how He wants you to live the life He has given you.
As God tells the Israelites in Jeremiah 6:16,
“Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”
