The Hope of Christmas
As Christians, we celebrate the birth of Christ, remembering that His coming set in motion the events that would lead to Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, which gave us the gift of salvation, forgiveness, and relationship with God. So why did so many at the time miss it? And what lesson does that hold for us today?

Waiting, Watching, Hoping
Sometimes, the events of Christmas in the Bible are so familiar, we lose sight of the wonder. This week, we are looking at two people from the Christmas narrative that remind us just how wondrous and joyous the coming of the Savior really is!

Hope and Quietly Wait
Waiting isn’t easy. But as I wait on the Lord’s guidance for a particular detail, I am learning again how to wait.

Not Ashamed
2 Timothy 1:12, Paul says that he is not ashamed, but what was it he was unashamed of, and how does it relate to us?

Longing for Christmas
During the weeks leading up to Christmas, we often focus on longing. But why? Longing seems incompatible with a season of light and joy and hope, but it’s actually an essential part of Christmas and our Christian lives as well.

Waiting for Christmas
Ever have a hard time waiting for Christmas? I have. But to have to wait at Christmas time is actually a blessing.

To Wait with Patience
Do you like to wait for things? I don’t. It never seems to matter whether I am waiting for something pleasant or something I’m dreading: waiting is just as difficult either way.
Except when I wait with patience.
