Still Waters
The Lord is our Shepherd, and He leads us beside the still waters. It is easy for us to neglect rest, to value motion and activity over time spent being still before the Lord. So, what do the "still waters" mean for us today?
Green Pastures
Have you ever seen sheep feeding in a green pasture? It makes for a beautiful view, but the quality of those pastures is vitally important for those sheep. When David says that the Lord his Shepherd leads him to "green pastures," he points out an important truth about our relationship with God.
Be Still
We live such busy lives, time with God can end up a rushed recital of a list of things we want. We might remember to praise God for something, or thank Him for the answers He will give, but so often we forget to just be still before Him.
